APA results generator

Choose your test and enter the values. You get the result written to APA 7 convention — correct decimals, exact p-values, no leading zero where it does not belong, and the effect size where one is expected.

Correct formatting is not the same as correct reporting

A perfectly formatted line can still report the wrong test, omit the assumption checks behind it, or make a claim the design cannot support. Format is the last thing a marker checks and the first thing they notice.

In short

How do you report statistics in APA format?

Answer

APA 7 requires the test statistic, its degrees of freedom in brackets, an exact p-value to three decimals, and an effect size. Values that cannot exceed 1 — p, r, and correlation coefficients — drop the leading zero. Statistics are italicised. A p-value below .001 is reported as p < .001 rather than as an exact figure.
