Statistics help from named, qualified statisticians

Send the data you have already collected. A named statistician runs the analysis, annotates every output, and explains it well enough that you can defend it in a viva or a board meeting. Fixed prices, agreed before any work starts.

In short

ResearchBench is a UK statistical consultancy and research training provider. Five named, qualified statisticians analyse data you have already collected, train researchers and teams in SPSS and NVivo, and explain results so you can defend them in a viva, a board meeting or a funder report.

Two ways in

Whether you are finishing a degree or reporting to a board

For researchers & postgraduates

You collected the data. You need the analysis to hold up.

  • Dissertation and thesis statistics, explained test by test
  • SPSS analysis with annotated output and reusable syntax
  • Sample size and power calculations your ethics committee will accept
  • A statistician's check of the results you have already written

Services

Ten things we do, at published prices

Every service is delivered by email by one of five named statisticians. You approve a fixed quote first; the price agreed is the price paid.

Who does the work

Five named statisticians, not an anonymous queue

You are told which statistician is assigned to your project before you approve the quote, and you correspond with them directly.

How it works

Three steps, entirely in writing

Send what you have

Attach the dataset, or just describe the project. No account, no mandatory call, and a five-field form rather than a fifteen-field one.

Approve a fixed quote

Usually within one working day, naming the statistician assigned, the deliverables and the deadline. Nothing starts until you say yes.

Receive the analysis

Output, syntax, tables and a plain-English explanation — plus follow-up questions answered at no extra cost.

What you receive

Six things arrive with every analysis

Not a number in an email. Everything you need to reproduce the result, report it correctly and defend it when someone asks.

Annotated output

Every table labelled, every test named, and a note on why that test was the right one for your design.

Reusable syntax

The SPSS, R or Stata code that produced the result, so you can rerun it, adjust it or hand it to a reviewer.

Assumption checks

Normality, homogeneity, multicollinearity — tested, reported, and flagged if anything needs a caveat in your write-up.

Report-ready tables

Formatted to APA or your journal's house style, ready to paste in without rebuilding them by hand.

A plain-English reading

What the result actually means, written so you can say it out loud in a viva or a board meeting without hedging.

Follow-up answered

Questions after delivery are part of the price. If a supervisor or reviewer pushes back, we help you answer them.

Common questions

Answers before you ask

How much does it cost?

Every engagement is quoted in writing before any work begins, and the quote is fixed. Organisational consultancy starts from £950. Work for individual researchers is priced separately and published in full on the pricing page. Scoping and quotes are free, with no obligation.

How quickly will I get it back?

Most quotes go out within one working day. Turnaround for the analysis itself depends on the dataset, and the deadline is written into the quote before you approve it.

Who will actually do my analysis?

One of the five statisticians named on this page, matched to your method and field. You are told which one before you approve the quote, and you correspond with them directly.

Do I have to get on a call?

No. Quotes and delivery run in writing — by email or through the quote form — so you always have a record of what was asked and what was delivered. If you would rather talk, call +44 141 536 0269 or use the live chat, but neither is required, and nothing decided on a call goes unconfirmed in writing.

What if the analysis does not say what I hoped?

We tell you. A statistician who only ever confirms the hypothesis is no use to you at a viva or a board meeting, and a result that will not survive scrutiny is worse than no result at all.

Will my university be happy with this?

Yes — statistical support is standard practice and permitted at every UK university we have worked with. If your institution asks you to declare the support you received, we will give you a written description of exactly what we did.

Send the data. Get a fixed quote.
