Supplier information

Everything a procurement, finance or governance team needs before raising a purchase order: the contracting entity, insurance, how research data is handled, commercial terms and references. If something you need is not here, ask and we will send it.

ResearchBench is a trading name of Splash Solutions Ltd, a company registered in Scotland, number SC851065. Contracts, invoices and purchase orders are raised in that name.

Insurance

Professional indemnity

Professional indemnity insurance is in place. A copy of the certificate, including the cover limit and renewal date, is sent on request — usually the same working day. If your procurement process requires evidence of cover before a purchase order can be raised, ask for it at the quote stage and it will not hold anything up.

Data protection

How your data is handled

Most of the work involves data an organisation already holds, and in many cases that data relates to identifiable people. The commitments below apply to every engagement.

✓Data is used only for the analysis set out in the agreed quote, and for nothing else.
✓It is never shared with, sold to, or processed by any third party.
✓It is never used to train models, and never used as example or teaching material.
✓It is securely deleted 90 days after delivery unless you ask us to retain it, and deleted sooner on request. Deletion is confirmed in writing.
✓A written data processing agreement can be signed before any data is sent.
✓Confidentiality agreements and non-disclosure agreements are signed on request.

Where you would prefer not to send identifiable data at all, say so at the quote stage. A great deal of analysis can be done on a pseudonymised extract, and we will tell you honestly whether yours is one of those cases.

Commercial

Quotes, orders and invoicing

✓Every engagement is quoted in writing before any work begins, and the quote is fixed. It does not change unless you change the scope, and any change is quoted before it is acted on.
✓Scoping conversations and quotes are free, with no obligation.
✓Purchase order numbers are accepted and quoted on the invoice.
✓Invoices are issued on delivery unless a schedule is agreed in advance, and are payable within 30 days.
✓Splash Solutions Ltd is not VAT registered, so invoices carry no VAT and the quoted price is the total payable.
✓Your own contract, framework terms or supplier forms can be reviewed and signed.

Assurance

Who does the work, and references

Every engagement is carried out by a named statistician, and you are told who before the work starts. Their qualifications, specialisms and software are published in full on the statisticians page — there is no anonymous queue and no subcontracting.

References from comparable organisations are available on request. Anonymised write-ups of previous work, including the methods used and the decisions behind them, are published as case studies.
